Job Description
A reputable healthcare system in New Hampshire is seeking an Office/Procedural Nurse to join its Cardiology team. This role offers a unique blend of hands-on procedural support, clinical triage, and patient education, with the opportunity to collaborate closely with cardiology, pulmonary, and primary care providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret vital signs, pulse oximetry, spirometry, and basic diagnostic tests
- Obtain and document cardiopulmonary, medical, and medication histories
- Assist with and support Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEEs), Cardioversions, Stress Tests, and other cardiac diagnostic procedures
- Triage cardiac and pulmonary concerns both in-person and over the phone, providing appropriate guidance and escalation
- Identify and report abnormal findings, patient symptoms, or concerns to the appropriate provider
- Cross-train and work within the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department, including monitoring patient vitals, safety, and tolerance during rehab sessions
- Provide clear and supportive patient education related to diagnoses, medications, procedures, and follow-up care
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active RN license.
- Prior cardiology experience preferred
