A renowned hospital in Western New Hampshire is searching for a Registered Nurse for the Surgical and Infusion units. In this role, you will be key in the patient experience pre- and post-surgery and outpatient infusion services. You will play a vital role in continuous assessment to assure patient safety, comfort, continuity of care, pre-operative preparation, post-operative recovery, and IV infusion therapy. You’ll work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the infusion team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities:

• Assess, prepare, and educate patients for surgery.
• Monitor patient vital signs pre- and post-operatively.
• Start IVs and administer pre-op medications.
• Provide post-surgical education to patients, create & maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment, and monitor the patient’s physical and emotional well-being throughout the surgical care continuum.
• Administer outpatient IV therapies, including blood transfusions and medication infusions.
• Manage and maintain PICC lines, Port-a-Caths, and IV sites.
• Educate patients on infusion treatments and self-care techniques.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license.
• 1+ year of experience preferred

• Full-time, permanent position
• Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:30a-4:30p
