Join a reputable healthcare system along the beautiful shores of Lake Ontario as a key member of the Perioperative Services team. As an OR Registered Nurse, you’ll play a vital role in providing exceptional surgical care, ensuring patient safety, and supporting surgeons and the surgical team in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Position Summary

The Operating Room RN will be responsible for providing safe and effective nursing care within the surgical suite. This role involves close collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes for patients undergoing various procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Circulates and scrubs for a variety of surgical procedures, including general surgery, orthopedics, cardiology, ENT, OB/GYN, bariatric, and podiatry cases.
• Assesses patient needs and develops individualized care plans.
• Reviews pre-operative checklists to ensure all surgical requirements are met before transport.
• Acts as a patient advocate, delivering compassionate care based on thorough assessments.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation and communicates effectively with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license.
• Prior OR experience is preferred.

Position Details

• Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7 AM-330 PM
• $15,000 Sign-On Bonus
