Job Description

A Magnet-recognized community hospital in Glens Falls is searching for a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. In this role, you will be an essential member of the patient care team and responsible for delivering direct patient care utilizing the nursing process. You will triage patients, assess symptoms, plan interventions, implement treatment plans, evaluate responses to interventions, and revise care plans based on overall effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care.
• Gather and interpret data through history taking and physical assessments and plan interventions to meet patients’ needs.
• Document care provided and the patient’s progress toward desired outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about the care plan and how to manage their care after discharge.
• Administer medications to patients as directed.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• A BSN is required within 5 years of hire.
• Active RN license

Additional info:

• Full-time, permanent position
• 3x12, 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a
• Pay: $34-58/hr. base, depending on experience, + differentials
