A reputable healthcare system that borders beautiful Lake Ontario is searching for a Registered Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit. In this role, you will be an essential patient care team member responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process. You will assess, plan, treat, and evaluate nursing care for patients within the unit and work collaboratively with other healthcare team members.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality patient care in an 8-bed ICU, maintaining a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio or 3:1 for telemetry/med-surg patients as needed.
• Assist with after-hours patient recoveries and collaborate with a team committed to outstanding patient outcomes.
• Manage and administer complex cardiac drips, sedatives, and vasopressors precisely and confidently.
• Provide advanced respiratory support for patients requiring NIPPV, heated high-flow oxygen, or mechanical ventilation.
• Foster a team-oriented approach to patient care, contributing to a positive and collaborative ICU environment.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN License.
• 1+ years of acute care experience is required.

Additional info:

• Full-time, permanent position
• Schedule; 3x12, 7p-7a
• Pay: $34-43.45/hr. base, depending on experience, + generous differentials.
