A well-respected community hospital in southern New Hampshire is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead its Birthing Suite. This is an exciting opportunity to guide a dedicated team, influence clinical quality, and shape an exceptional patient-centered experience for mothers and families.

About the Role

As the Director of Nursing for the Birthing Suite, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the department. You will oversee daily operations, mentor and develop staff, and ensure the delivery of safe, evidence-based, and compassionate patient care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and evaluation for Labor & Delivery staff to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality care.
• Participate in recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention of nursing personnel.
• Serve as a clinical resource and support for staff, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.
• Ensure efficient patient flow, workflow optimization, and adherence to best practices.
• Review departmental financial reports and identify opportunities for cost-effective operations without compromising care quality.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred
• Active RN license
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Obstetrics, Labor & Delivery, or Women’s Health
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience

Position Details

• Full-time, permanent role
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, days
