Job Description

A reputable Level III Trauma Center in New York is searching for a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. In this role, you will triage patients, assess symptoms, plan interventions, implement treatment plans, evaluate responses to interventions, and revise care plans based on overall effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and individualized patient care in a busy 56-bed Emergency Department.
• Care for a diverse patient population ranging from non-urgent to life-threatening, including medical illness, trauma care, neonatal, pediatric care, gerontological care, women’s health, and mental health.
• Utilize the nursing process to meet the age-specific needs of patients across all aspects of care.
• Use appropriate steps in the decision-making process related to patient care and unit-based issues.
• Integrate patient rights and nursing ethics into work practice.

Qualifications:

• A BSN is required.
• Active RN license.
• 1+ years of ED experience is required.

Additional info:

• Full-time, permanent position
• 3x12, 7p-7a
• Pay; $50-59/hr. base, depending on experience, + differentials
