Job Description

A reputable Level III Trauma Center in New York is searching for a Nurse Manager to oversee its Surgical Department. In this role, you will assist the Director of Perioperative Services with overseeing daily operations within the department and provide leadership, guidance, and clinical expertise to personnel to ensure quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee six operating room suites and 50 FTEs.
• Maintain 24-hour responsibility for nursing care provided in the department.
• Ensure the delivery of quality care and clinical services.
• Participate in the Performance Improvement Program.
• Work collaboratively with all levels of the hospital’s interdisciplinary teams.
• Support hospital initiatives and projects and function as a positive change agent.

Qualifications:

• A BSN is required, and an MSN is preferred.
• Active RN License
• 5+ years of OR experience is required.
• Prior OR leadership experience is required.

Additional info:

• Full-time, permanent position
• Monday-Friday, 7a-330p
• Compensation: $135,000-155,000, depending on experience
