Job Description

A Magnet-designated hospital in Southern Vermont is searching for an Oncology Registered Nurse for its Cancer Center. In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients within the center. You will engage in caring relationships with patients and families, work collaboratively with other healthcare staff, and use sound judgment while performing nursing and medical interventions. Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized nursing care to outpatients receiving treatments, including IV therapy, chemotherapy, non-oncology infusion, etc.
  • Gather and interpret data through history taking and physical assessments and plan interventions to meet patients’ needs.
  • Document care provided and the patient’s progress toward desired outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families about the plan of care and how to manage their care after discharge.
  • Administer medications to patients as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • A BSN is preferred.
  • Active RN License.
  • Oncology experience is required.

Additional information:

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p
  • Compensation: $30-37/hr. base, depending on experience
