A prestigious, Magnet-recognized hospital in New York is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join its highly respected maternal/child health team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional, family-centered care throughout the childbirth experience, from labor through delivery and postpartum recovery.

About the Role

As an L&D RN, you will assess maternal and fetal needs, develop individualized care plans, implement and evaluate nursing interventions, and work closely with physicians, midwives, and the broader healthcare team to support safe, positive birth outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to laboring mothers and newborns before, during, and after delivery
• Assess maternal and fetal status, obtain vital signs, and monitor fetal heart rates
• Circulate and scrub for cesarean sections and assist with obstetric emergencies
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in accordance with hospital standards
• Provide education to patients and families regarding the plan of care, postpartum expectations, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient safety and experience

Qualifications

• A BSN is required
• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required
