A reputable healthcare system that borders beautiful Lake Ontario is searching for a Registered Nurse for its Medical/Surgical Unit. In this role, you will be an essential member of the patient care team and responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process. You will assess, plan, treat, and evaluate nursing care for patients within the unit and work collaboratively with other healthcare team members.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care.
• Gather and interpret data through history taking and physical assessments and plan interventions to meet patients’ needs.
• Document care provided and the patient’s progress toward desired outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about the plan of care and how to manage their care after discharge.
• Administer medications to patients as directed.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN License.

Additional info:

• Full-time, permanent position
• Schedule; 3x12, 7p-7a
• Pay: $34-43/hr. base, depending on experience, + generous differentials.
