Job Description

A respected healthcare organization in Central New York is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to join its Inpatient Behavioral Health team. Full-time day and night shift opportunities are currently available. These permanent positions offer the chance to provide specialized psychiatric care in a modern, patient-centered environment designed specifically to support mental health and wellness.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients receiving inpatient behavioral health services.
• Assess patient needs, monitor changes in condition, and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established nursing standards and policies.
• Support patients experiencing acute behavioral and mental health needs while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Provide patient education, emotional support, and advocacy throughout hospitalization.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow established safety, regulatory, and professional nursing standards.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current New York State RN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to complete required Pharmacology, IV Therapy, PALS, Telemetry, Critical Care, and ACLS courses within the first year of employment.
• Ability to complete unit-specific orientation.
• Strong communication, clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience is a plus.

Additional Info:

• Full-time, permanent day and night shift opportunities available.
• Base pay: $34.68–$44.32/hour.
• Evening differential: 10% for hours worked from 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.
• Night differential: 25% for hours worked from 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• Weekend differential: Additional 10% for weekend shifts.
• Work within a modern 32-bed inpatient behavioral health setting designed specifically for mental health and wellness.
• Patient-centered environment featuring comfortable interior spaces, secure outdoor areas, and onsite access to primary care services.
• Located near Lake Ontario in Central New York.
