Job Description

Join a reputable healthcare system nestled along the scenic shores of Lake Ontario as a key member of the Behavioral Health Unit. As an RN, you’ll provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals facing mental health challenges in a safe, therapeutic environment.

Your Role

• Deliver direct and indirect nursing care using the nursing process tailored to psychiatric patients.
• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, monitor behavioral changes, and develop individualized care plans.
• Document patient progress and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to adjust treatment plans.
• Support patients and families through education on coping strategies, medication management, and discharge planning.
• Administer medications safely, including psychotropic drugs, and monitor for side effects.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active RN license
• Experience in psychiatric nursing is preferred but not required

Position Details

• Full-time, permanent position
• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, nights
