A healthcare system that borders Lake Ontario is searching for a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. In this role, you will triage patients, assess symptoms, plan interventions, implement treatment plans, evaluate responses to interventions, and revise care plans based on overall effectiveness. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care.
• Gather and interpret data through history taking and physical assessments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
• Document the care provided and the patient’s progress toward the desired goals.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on the plan of care and how to manage care after discharge.
• Administer medications to patients as needed/directed.

Qualifications:

• An ASN is required, and a BSN is preferred.
• Active RN license.
• 1+ years of med/surg or ED experience.
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.

Additional info:

• Full-time, permanent position
• Two shifts available; 7p-7a
• Pay; $34-43+/hr., depending on experience, + differentials.
