Position Summary

As an OR Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered care throughout the perioperative experience. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary team members to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced, technologically advanced surgical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and timely patient assessments throughout the perioperative process
• Communicate patient status and updates across the continuum of care
• Perform accurate surgical counts to prevent retained foreign objects
• Lead and participate in “time out” procedures to verify the correct patient, site, side, and procedure
• Uphold infection-prevention standards through proper hand hygiene and aseptic technique
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with hospital policy
• Facilitate smooth and accurate handoff of patient care using approved protocols
• Document all nursing care in a complete, timely, and accurate manner

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience required
