Job Title: Contract Sybase SME Architect

Location: REMOTE, USA

Job Type: Short Term, Part-Time Project (15 to 20 hours per week)

Time Frame: 2 month

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Sybase SME Architect Sybase Database Architect/Administrator with migration experience. (Local data disks - not NFS) to assist with a database migration. The ideal candidate will have experience in Sybase SME and database migration, as well as proficiency in Linux (REHL, Centos, etc.).

Responsibilities:

- Design and implement Sybase SME solutions for clients
- Migrate databases from other platforms to Sybase SME
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues
- Develop database backup and recovery strategies
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Develop and maintain technical documentation

Requirements:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sybase SME architecture and database migration
- Installing, configuring, backing up and migrating Sybase and other Databases.
- Proficiency in Linux systems (REHL, Centos, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Availability to work on a contract basis
