Job Description

Astute’s People is partnering with a leading solid fuel plant owner and operator to recruit a Shift Supervisor for it’s plant in Worcester County, MA.

The Shift Supervisor role comes with a salary of up to $150,000, sign on and annual bonus potential.  

Responsibilities and duties 
 
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will: 
 

• Lead your shift team, ensuring that the plant is operated safely and efficiently.
• Take full responsibility for the lockout / tagout system and other permits.
• Manage work orders through the CMMS.
• Conduct and manage plant walk rounds.
• Serve as the Plant Managers representative during shift periods.
• Train, develop and motivate your shift team.

Professional qualifications 
 

We are looking for someone with the following: 

• A 2^nd Class Stationary Engineers licence.
• Bachelors Degree / Associate Degree or equivalent is desirable.
• Experience operating solid fuel power plant is desirable.
• Experience as a Plant Operator / Control Room Operator and looking to develop their career.

Personal skills 
 

The Shift Supervisor role would suit someone who is: 
 

• Happy working on a rotating shift pattern.
• Computer literate.
• Detailed orientated with strong attention to detail.
