Astute’s People is partnering with a leading solid fuel plant owner and operator to recruit a Plant Operator for it’s plant in Essex County, MA.

The Plant Operator role comes with a rate of $45 to $59 per hour, sign on bonus and benefits..

Responsibilities and duties 
 
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor you will: 
 

• Monitor and operate boiler plant.
• Log and adjust boiler combustion rates, steam flows and emissions.
• Direct, train and motivate Assistant Operators, Utility Operators and Assistant Plant Operators.
• Conduct and manage plant walk rounds.

Professional qualifications 
 

We are looking for someone with the following: 

• A 2^nd Class Stationary Engineers licence.
• Experience operating solid fuel power plant is desirable.
• Experience as am Assistant Plant Operator or 5 years experience gained in a power plant setting.

Personal skills 
 

The Plant Operator role would suit someone who is: 
 

• Happy working on a rotating shift pattern.
• Computer literate.
• Detailed orientated with strong attention to detail.
