Astute People is partnering with a public power electric utility to recruit a Deputy Chief Dam Safety Engineer to join them in Tulsa, OK. 

The Deputy Chief Dam Safety Engineer role comes with a salary of up to $188,000, as well as benefits and relocation package.

Responsibilities and duties 
 
Reporting to the senior management team you will: 

• Lead and provide the strategic vison, leadership and oversight on dam safety engineering, emergency procedures and training.
• Ensure all work and activities are compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Direct technical, environmental and economic feasibility studies.
• Manage and review all dam safety-related maintenance and construction activities.
• Manage all works with outside contractors and consultancies.

Professional qualifications 
 

We are looking for someone with the following: 

• Bachelors / Masters degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural and geotechnical engineering.
• Experience gained in a power generation setting or consulting is desirable.
• Extensive experience gained as a dam design or dam safety engineer is essential.
