About the Role:

In this role, you will handle the movement, storage, and tracking of materials to support efficient warehouse operations. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate inventory levels while operating forklifts and other equipment safely. Your work directly impacts on-time order fulfilment and overall warehouse productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, move, and stage materials.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against documentation, reporting any discrepancies.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare materials for internal use or outbound shipments.
• Maintain organised storage areas, ensuring products are properly labelled and easily accessible.
• Perform regular inventory counts and cycle checks, updating records to reflect actual stock levels.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and equipment checks.
• Assist with general warehouse housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in a warehouse or material handling role.
• Strong forklift operation skills in a busy warehouse environment.
• Solid understanding of inventory management practices and stock control.
• Demonstrated commitment to warehouse safety and compliance with procedures.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in handling and recording materials.
• Ability to lift and move materials safely and work on your feet throughout the shift.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience using warehouse management systems or handheld scanners.
• Background in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Familiarity with basic shipping and receiving documentation.

Qualifications:

• Valid forklift certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Additional safety or warehouse operations training is an advantage.
