Job Title: Healthcare Call Center Representative

Job Summary:

As a Healthcare Call Center Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies through inbound and outbound calls. You will be responsible for answering inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing accurate information related to healthcare services, insurance coverage, and medical products. You will work closely with other members of the healthcare team to ensure that all patients receive the highest quality of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and make outbound calls to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints related to healthcare services, insurance coverage, and medical products.
  • Enter patient information into the system and update patient records as necessary.
  • Schedule appointments for patients with healthcare providers.
  • Verify insurance coverage and assist patients with insurance-related inquiries.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information about healthcare services and medical products.
  • Work closely with other members of the healthcare team to ensure that all patients receive the highest quality of care.
  • Follow up with patients to ensure that their needs have been met and that they are satisfied with the service they received.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Some college coursework in healthcare or related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare services, and insurance coverage is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone keypad. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
