Security Consultant and Penetration Tester Security Consultant and Penetration Tester Role Overview: We are seeking experienced cybersecurity professionals with a strong background in ethical hacking to help secure some of the most advanced software and technologies. This role involves close collaboration with teams based in Mexico, the United States, and other international locations, providing support to clients across diverse industries. Key Responsibilities: As a consultant, you will be responsible for conducting penetration tests on web applications, networks, and software, identifying vulnerabilities, and proposing effective solutions. Your projects will range from short-term engagements to extended programs with well-established clients. Additionally, you will serve as a trusted advisor, helping clients make informed security decisions by addressing complex technical challenges with innovative solutions. Specific Requirements:
- Technical Experience: At least 5 years in application security and a minimum of 4 years in planning, conducting, and managing web application penetration tests.
- Security Fundamentals: Deep understanding of security principles (OWASP), common vulnerabilities, and best practices in application security.
- Operating Systems: Competence with Linux, Windows, and MacOS.
- Vulnerability Assessment: Proficiency in vulnerability assessment and exploit development for diverse targets.
- Technical Documentation: Excellent skills in technical report writing and detailed documentation.
- Knowledge in Cryptography and System & Network Security: Experience in authentication protocols, network security, and applied cryptography.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages like Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Java, and JavaScript.
- AWS Experience: Familiarity with AWS cloud environments, including IAM, EC2, VPC, EBS, S3, CloudWatch, and Lambdas, with a strong focus on security.
- Network and System Exploitation: Advanced knowledge in modern exploitation techniques (e.g., c2 frameworks, EDR bypass, privilege escalation, password cracking, lateral movement, etc.).
- Academic Background: Preferably advanced studies in Computer Science or relevant certifications such as OSCP.
