Job Description

National Account Manager - Western Region - Commercial Food Service Chain Accounts

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Business Development & Relationship Management 

  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within national chain accounts. 

  • Build a strong network of contacts to expand the company’s presence and sales opportunities. 

  • Proactively seek out and set up meetings with key stakeholders in target accounts. 

  • Sales Strategy & Execution 

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to grow national accounts. 

  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless account management and customer satisfaction. 

  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and partnership agreements to maximize revenue opportunities. 

  • CRM & Goal Management 

  • Utilize CRM software to track leads, manage account relationships, and monitor progress towards sales goals. 

  • Maintain accurate records of interactions, meetings, and follow-ups to ensure consistent communication and relationship-building. 

  • Regularly review and adjust sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets. 

  • Industry Expertise & Learning 

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape. 

  • Continuously develop product knowledge and sales techniques to enhance effectiveness. 

  • Actively participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to establish brand presence and generate leads. 

  • Travel Requirements 

  • Travel may be required to meet clients, attend industry events, and build relationships with key stakeholders. 

  • Flexibility to travel as needed, including overnight stays and multi-day trips.

Preferred Experience: 

  • Past chain experience preferred, but not necessarily in sales (e.g., former purchaser, operations manager, or category manager). 

  • Experience working with national retail chains, distributors, or large-scale accounts is a plus.
