Job Description

Licensing and Contracting Specialist- South Fl position with LTC pharmacy.

-Works with Director of Regulatory to contract new third party plans, Medicare and Medicaid in multiple states. 
-Supports the contract and payer relations for the pharmacy ensuring that contract requirements are appropriately met, contracts are kept up-to-date in the pharmacy paper records and electronic files. -Understands eligibility requirements and authorization requirements of insurance company plans, Medicare, and Medicaid, and how each program/payer reimburses. ·
-Builds relationships with provider relations and claims processing managers within payer organizations.
-Manages and submits state and federal licensing applications, renewals, and re-credentialing for all pharmacy and on- site technology locations.
-Manages filing calendars and works proactively to manage upcoming filing deadlines.
-Communicates with state and federal agencies for inquiries, status updates, and/or issue resolution.
-Coordinates and reports filing statuses to management on a routine basis.
-Participate in various education, training, policy discussions, and team meetings.
-Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor to support the needs of the business.
