Job Title: Director of Nursing - Emergency Department (Level II Trauma Center)

As we continue to expand and provide outstanding emergency medical services to our community, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing for our Emergency Department.
Position Overview:
As the Director of Nursing for our Level II Trauma Center's Emergency Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This key leadership position requires a strong clinical background in emergency nursing, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead and inspire a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for the Emergency Department nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and implement best practices in emergency nursing.
- Develop and implement policies, protocols, and procedures to optimize patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care across various departments.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and mentorship, promoting staff development and engagement.
- Monitor and analyze department performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and staffing to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain strong relationships with physicians, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements and trends in emergency nursing.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California (current and in good standing).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in emergency nursing.
- Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of emergency nursing practices, regulations, and quality standards.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and development.
