Manager, Logistics Operations

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily logistics, transportation, warehouse, and distribution operations.
• Develop and implement operational plans aligned with organizational goals and business growth.
• Lead, manage, train, and mentor employees, including drivers and distribution personnel.
• Monitor operational performance, budgets, staffing, and service delivery.
• Identify opportunities to improve route planning, distribution efficiency, and cost management.
• Manage customer relationships and resolve service or delivery-related issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
  
  

Skills and Experience Required

• Experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse, and distribution management.
• Strong knowledge of route planning, GPS technology, and inventory management.
• Knowledge of WHMIS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and applicable transportation safety regulations.
• Proven leadership, team management, and employee development skills.
• Experience in budgeting, cost analysis, and operational planning.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and drive process improvements.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Medical laboratory operations experience is an asset.
  
  

Working Conditions

• Office or medical laboratory environment.
• Some travel may be required.
