Responsibilities:

  • Developing iOS and Android SDKs for a major insurance company’s telematics platform.
  • Reading from device sensors to get raw readings.
  • Determining if machine learning or deterministic algorithms should be used for event detection.
  • Determining if event detection should take place on the edge (Android or iOS device) or on the cloud.
  • Levering machine learning for edge event detection.
  • Batching and syncing events with the cloud.
  • Partnering with mobile client and cloud development teams for end to end telematics platform development.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Working with global development teams.
  • Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, C++, Objective C, and/or Swift
  • Previous experience with mobile development.
  • Experience with machine learning.
  • Experience with IoT project a plus.
  • Proficient in Git
  • Familiar with reading sensor data from iOS and Android platforms.
  • Experience with continuous integration.
