Supply Chain Manager for Arnprior Aerospace – Portland, Oregon

This is an on-site position. The Supply Chain Manager will manage supply chain functions including production planning, forecasting, material procurement, inventory control, warehousing, rate setting, outsourcing, vendor selection, distribution, and leading a highly capable team.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve Supply Chain (SC) objectives and support the attainment of business objectives.
- Execute the SC strategy.
- Lead and Improve SC execution processes:
- Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP)
- Supplier Performance Management: Quality, Cost, Delivery & Service
- Material Requirements Planning: system use and optimization.
- Inventory management: working capital improvements.
- Logistics management: cost and service
- Outside Service Processing: lead-time and cost
- Allocate responsibilities to members of your department and manage the effectiveness of execution.
- Facilitate identification of direct material cost reduction or service enhancement opportunities; develop appropriate projects.
- Reduce inventory to appropriate entitlement levels that support financial and operational needs.
- Lead, facilitate, or support cross-site supply chain project collaboration and execution.
- Lead, facilitate, or support sourcing and procurement activities from RFQ through contract development, negotiation, execution, and implementation; monitor contract adherence and retain master repository.
- Develop appropriate sourcing/procurement strategies and operational plans to reduce direct material or outside process service costs.
- Collaborate with suppliers and site operations teams to improve supplier delivery, quality, and service performance.
- Liaise with suppliers/vendors along with appropriate site or functional representatives.
- Coordinate and maintain visibility of functional, site, or cross-site projects through a structured management system; provide monthly status.
- Implement and report on spend measurement, productivity analytics, and supplier/vendor performance.
- Leverage site-level and functional knowledge expertise to achieve targeted project deliverables.
- Develop and cultivate strategic supplier/vendor business relationships if required.
- Serve as a member of the Supply Chain Leadership Team to leverage best practices across the organization.
- Develop and lead organizational talent to deliver substantial value to the business.
Qualifications
- 4-year degree in Business with a focus on supply chain management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Advanced degree/master’s in business administration (MBA) and professional society certification (e.g., APICS or NAPM) are a strong plus.
- Seven (7) years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing, preferably aerospace, environment.
- Three (3) years of directly related supervisor/management experience.
- Formal management training/experience is essential.
- Working knowledge of Supply Chain policies and practices, scheduling, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and proficiency in computer applications.
- Expertise in ERP, purchasing, and planning is preferred, Microsoft AX experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements

Vision requirements include close vision and focus adjustment.
