Job Description

Our client, a $120M+ Social Services Organization, is seeking a VP of Finance to oversee and lead the disbursements and treasury side of the organization. This position will lead a large team of 15+ and embody strategic responsibilities across process improvement, accounting efficacy, systems, compliance, spend optimization, treasury, reporting, and dashboarding.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the Disbursements side of organization and the Treasury function
  • Oversee day to day cash management, liquidity forecasting, liquidity strategies, banking relationships, and debt management
  • Managed the the Accounts Payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of all vendor, staff, and other disbursements
  • Built out robust internal controls, best practices, technological systems, credit card programs, aspects of procurement, and additional to optimize expense processing and recording
  • Own aspects of the month end closes, audits, CFRs, government reporting, bank reporting, and additional to ensure accuracy
  • Maintain and enhance robust internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to safeguard organizational assets and ensure operational efficiency
  • Provide strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to support decision-making, resource allocation, and operational effectiveness
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or relevant business degree; CPA, MS, MBA, or relevant graduate degree preferred
  • Public Audit experience a plus
  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in accounting and financial management, with significant leadership experience in a large, government-funded multi-service non-profit organization
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, Treasury management, banking platforms, and AP best practice
  • Proven track record of people management and team development
  • Technological savvy with knowledge of Excel, major accounting systems, AP systems (Concur, Bill.com, etc)
  • Solutions driven mentality and ability to commute effectively
