We're seeking a CPA-designated Accountant to join our clients' engaged and reputable firm in St. John's, NL. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working directly with clients, providing valuable financial insights, and contributing to a collaborative environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, providing full-cycle accounting support, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and overseeing tax preparation and compliance activities. 

Key Responsibilities for the Job: 

• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
• Manage full-cycle accounting processes for a diverse client base
• Complete personal and corporate tax preparation, compliance, and planning activities
• Analyze financial information and provide recommendations to support client decision-making
• Assist clients with budgeting, financial planning, and reporting needs
• Maintain accurate financial records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver timely, high-quality accounting services
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies, and overall client service

• CPA designation in good standing
• Public accounting experience is a definite asset
• Advanced proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet applications
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to clients
• Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and ongoing learning
