Job Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client in Dartmouth

This contract role is perfect for a proactive accounting professional who can hit the ground running and provide hands-on support. 

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Code, enter, and process vendor invoices accurately and in accordance with internal controls
  • Prepare and process payment runs 
  • Monitor and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
  • Maintain journals, ledgers, and supporting financial documentation
  • Perform bank reconciliations and prepare journal entries
  • Answer phone calls and provide general administrative support, as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Experience & Attributes for Success:

  • Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience in a similar accounts payable focused or versatile accounting role
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Professional communication skills and willingness to support a collaborative team environment
