Job Description

Our dynamic and fast-paced client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team in Halifax, NS. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Review, code, and enter invoices; ensure appropriate approvals are in place
  • Prepare and process bi-weekly payments, including EFT, wire, and cheques
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and respond to inquiries as needed
  • Process employee expense reports and assist with month-end accruals
  • Reconcile daily cash activity and investigate discrepancies
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and support efficient workflows
  • Contribute to improvements in accounts payable procedures and assist with general accounting tasks

Experience & Attributes for Success:

  • 3–5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, business, or a similar field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong general computer skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Able to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
  • Team-oriented and eager to contribute to a positive work environment
