Job Description

Our client, a well-established and growth-oriented organization is seeking an experienced and strategic Controller. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dieppe, NB.

The ideal candidate is a proactive and hands-on financial leader with strong operational expertise ideally in logistics, manufacturing, and/or transportation settings. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the finance function across a dynamic and globally connected businesses.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Perform all accounting, financial reporting, and bookkeeping activities 
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and year-end) 
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Ensure full compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory standards
  • Strengthen internal controls and streamline financial systems and processes
  • Act as a key liaison with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making, including expansion initiatives and service development

Experience & Attributes for Success:

  • Chartered Professional Designation (CPA), or equivalent, is preferred
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance
  • Previous experience within the manufacturing or transportation is considered a definite asset
  • Familiarity with international logistics and export compliance is also advantageous
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
  • Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, ERP solutions) and Excel
  • Strong analytical mindset and financial modeling abilities
  • A strong eye for detail ensures accuracy in all financial reporting and processes
  • Proactive and driven approach, eager to identify and resolve issues early
  • Analytical thinking and sound judgment to support strategic decision-making
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to strengthen communication and operational alignment
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, changing environment to allow for smooth adaptation and growth
