Our construction services client based in Queens County, PEI is in search of a Part-Time Controller with a knack for project finance and accounting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is looking to contribute their expertise on a flexible, part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare and review monthly and year-end financial statements
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and government filings (HST, payroll remittances, etc.)
• Provide financial insights and reporting to support business decisions and growth initiatives
• Maintain internal controls and implement process improvements as needed
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions
• Support ownership and management with ad-hoc analysis and strategic planning

Experience & Attributes for Success:

• Chartered Professional Accountant CPA designation is strongly preferred
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Familiarity with project-based accounting, cost management, and financial reporting is strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with ownership and team members
• Proficiency using Quickbooks Online; experience with BuilderTrend is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration with production and finance teams
• Attention to detail with a meticulous approach to financial reporting and accuracy
• Experience working with small or growing businesses is highly valued

• $50.00 - $100.00 per hour
