Job Description

We’re currently seeking an Administrative Inventory Assistant to support seasonal operations for our client's live lobster holding facility in Borden, Prince Edward Island. This is a 6-month contract role starting as soon as possible, offering a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic seafood processing company during its peak season. The ideal candidate will bring strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn inventory and tracking systems.

This is a full-time, in-office role with a Monday to Friday schedule (8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.), and occasional extended days based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Provide general administrative and technical support to the processing team
  • Manage inventory records using spreadsheets and specialized tracking software
  • Collect, organize, and track sourcing certificates and supplier identification documents
  • Assist with documentation and coordination of sales activities
  • Input and review data in accounting and operational systems
  • Create and manage PDF documents for internal and external use

Experience & Attributes for Success:

  • 1–2 years of experience in an administrative or inventory support role
  • Background in inventory management (experience in seafood, agriculture, or retail is ideal)
  • Post-secondary diploma in Administrative or Accounting Technology is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general spreadsheet use is required and familiarity with Sage is an asset
  • Strong reliability, punctuality, and adaptability
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, seasonally driven environment
  • Willingness to support a close-knit team and manage shifting priorities day-to-day

Compensation:
In the range of $25.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
