Job Description

We’re currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client’s team and support their growing operations with cost accounting, inventory tracking, and month-end reporting.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in accounting and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Cap-Pelé, New Brunswick and interested candidates should have immediate availability to start. 

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Receive and interpret production data for accounting integration
• Code products for internal tracking and cost analysis
• Perform inventory costing and monitor variances
• Support full month-end processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Perform controller-type duties such as reporting, accruals, and financial statement prep
• Integrate payroll-related information into monthly accounting
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Sage, and Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) to manage data and reporting

Experience & Attributes for Success:

• 2+ years of experience in accounting (junior to intermediate candidates will be considered)
• Post-secondary education in Accounting is ideal
• Experience in a manufacturing, processing, or assembly environment is highly preferred
• Familiarity with unit costing and cost accounting systems is a strong asset
• Previous experience with Great Plains Dynamics is a strong asset
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and general payroll systems
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
