Staff Accountant for their office in

Key Responsibilities for the Job:
Accounts Payable- Processing vendor invoices in the accounting system, recommending and executing payments
- Reconciling vendor statements as required
- Ensure AP processes are functioning as intended re: timely vendor statement reconciliations, facilitating approvals and leadership in variance review and resolution as required
Accounts Receivable- Recording sales invoices through the accounting system with a focus in managing collections
- Facilitating credit review of customers and recommendations to management
General & Accounting- Reconciling bank statement activity and preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
- Reconcile related party balances
- Preparation of government tax filings and payments
- Prepare general journal entries and leadership in month end close processes
- Prepare and distribute financial reports to management
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- Post-secondary education in accounting or business; or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years’ accounting experience
- Previous experience working with multiple entities/locations is considered a strong asset
- Strong Microsoft Office skills with an advanced knowledge of excel
- Skilled in managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously, with a strong focus on organization and time management to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables
- Self-motivated and results driven; proven ability to work with a high level of autonomy and prefers to work in an entrepreneurial environment that empowers innovation and embraces shifting priorities
- Collaborative team player who fosters a positive work environment and contributes effectively to group projects, leveraging diverse perspectives to achieve common goals
- Willingness to learn new processes and take on challenges as they arise
- Inclination to develop new ideas and create solutions
- Strong oral and written communication skills
