Our client, a respected and progressive mid-size boutique public accounting firm in Halifax, is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant. This is a permanent position best suited to someone who finds satisfaction in their day-to-day work and values consistency and stability in a team-oriented, mindful work setting.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Full cycle client bookkeeping
• Review engagement and audit support
• Bank reconciliations
• Notice to readers
• Personal and corporate tax returns
• Financial statement preparation
• Financial analysis
• Ad hoc projects as assigned

Experience & Attributes for Success:

• Post-secondary education at the college or university level
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a firm environment
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and CaseWare and the ability to learn new programs quickly
• Professional and attentive communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and committed work ethic
• Proactive approach and the ability to balance conflicting priorities efficiently
