Job Description

Our client, a leading organization with global operations, is seeking a Junior Tax Analyst to join their team. In this permanent role, the successful candidate will support corporate income tax compliance, planning, and accounting across Canada, the U.S., and internationally. This role has the option to work out of either Moncton, NB or Saint John, NB offices.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your tax, analytical, and communication skills while working on diverse and impactful tax issues as part of a dedicated and innovative team.

Key Responsibilities for the Job: 

  • Preparing tax documentation and supporting external advisors with income tax returns
  • Filing income tax returns, elections, and remittances for Canada and the U.S
  • Completing indirect tax filings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Managing tax installments and coordinating payments to tax authorities
  • Assisting with responses to tax audits at various levels
  • Supporting the preparation of internal tax accounting provisions
  • Developing templates to simplify tax data collection
  • Reconciling income tax accounts
  • Upholding integrity and professionalism in all actions

Experience & Attributes for Success: 

  • Post-secondary education in accounting, business, commerce or other relevant program
  • Minimum 1 – 2 years’ of previous corporate tax experience, ideally within public accounting or a combination within public practice and industry
  • Proficiency with tax preparation software, MS Office Suite, and/or online tax research tools
  • Team player with the ability to proactively resolve issues, both independently and as part of a team
  • Solid time management skills with ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
