Job Description

Position: Building Panel Fabrication
Pay: $18

Join a stable, growth-focused fabrication team where your hands-on skills directly shape high-quality building panels for commercial and industrial projects. This is a long-term, permanent role with a company that values precision, safety, and craftsmanship, offering the chance to work with complex blueprints in a collaborative environment.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for fabricating building panels from start to finish, using hand tools, and lifting equipment to produce accurate, quality-controlled components. Working from detailed 2D and 3D blueprints, you will interpret technical drawings, perform precise layouts and measurements, and document each step of the build process to ensure consistency and traceability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret 2D and 3D blueprints and technical drawings to plan fabrication steps and layouts.
  • Use hand and power tools to perform finishing, trimming, and assembly operations on panels.
  • Perform dimensional measuring and layout using tape measures (to 1/16"), squares, and other tools to verify accuracy.
  • Lift, turn, flip, and position panels safely, using cranes, forklifts, and manual handling as required.
  • Handle raw materials and finished panels, including loading/unloading, staging, and organizing inventory.
  • Document each step of the build process, maintaining clear records of work completed and quality checks.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate with supervisors to coordinate workflow and meet production targets.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or a similar hands-on production environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools for cutting, drilling, fastening, and finishing.
  • Confident measuring with a tape measure to 1/16" and performing accurate layout work.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs consistently (occasionally up to 100lbs) and to lift, turn, and flip large panels safely.
  • Comfortable standing and working on your feet for 8–10 hours per day.
  • Experience operating a forklift and overhead crane, with a strong focus on safety.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills to work within a coordinated fabrication crew.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in building panel fabrication or construction-related manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with material handling systems and inventory management software or processes.
  • Background in documenting production steps for quality control or compliance purposes.
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.

Qualifications:

  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Overhead crane operation training or certification preferred.
  • Technical or vocational training in fabrication, machining, or industrial technology is an advantage.

If you are a detail-focused fabricator who takes pride in precise, well-built panels and wants a permanent role with a reliable team, we encourage you to apply.
