Job Title: General Assembly Operator
Location: Pryor, OK, 74361
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 7:00a-3:30p

About the Role: As a General Assembly Operator, you will support the plastics department by operating equipment, assembling components, and ensuring parts are prepared accurately for shipment. You will play a key role in keeping production flowing, maintaining inventory accuracy, and meeting customer delivery timelines. This position reports directly to the Plastics Department Lead, with clear direction and support for your day-to-day work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate a flat-bed grinder in accordance with safety and quality standards.
* Pull and package parts accurately based on work orders and customer requirements.
* Assemble components and sub-assemblies following established procedures and diagrams.
* Manage inventory by counting, labeling, and organizing parts and materials.
* Create and process UPS shipments, including labeling, documentation, and staging for pickup.
* Use hand and power tools to complete assembly and finishing tasks.
* Maintain a clean, organized work area and support basic housekeeping within the department.
* Communicate with the Plastics Department Lead regarding production priorities, issues, and completed tasks.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or general assembly environment.
* Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery and tools.
* Proficient use of hand and basic power tools in a production setting.
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work orders, and standard operating procedures.
* Strong attention to detail for accurate part pulling, packaging, and shipment preparation.
* Basic computer literacy to create shipping labels and enter shipment information.
* Reliable attendance and ability to work the scheduled hours of 7:00am–3:30pm.
* Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required for assembly and packaging tasks.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience operating grinding equipment or similar production machinery.
* Prior experience creating UPS or other carrier shipments in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
* Familiarity with basic inventory systems or stock management processes.
* Background in plastics manufacturing or related production environments.
