Job Title: PRESS OPERATOR

Location: Tulsa, OK, 74146
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 7:00a-4:00p or 6:00a-3:00p
(Shift can vary. Position may require some OT with some shifts extending up to twelve hours. Shifts may start at different times depending on furnace schedule and may end in early morning hours.)

Step into a stable, hands-on manufacturing role where you’ll work with precision equipment to produce high-quality powdered metal components. This is a permanent position with a well-established operation, offering structured training, variety in daily tasks, and the chance to build strong technical skills in press operation and related processes.

About the Role:
As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient production of powdered metal parts using a range of presses and secondary equipment. You’ll ensure parts meet exacting dimensional and quality standards through careful setup, operation, and inspection. Over time, you’ll progress from running production to performing full tooling setups and supporting multiple stages of the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:
* Operate production presses for powdered metal parts, monitoring performance and making on-the-fly adjustments to maintain consistent output.
* Check dimensions using micrometers, calipers, gauge pins, and verify part weight to ensure parts meet print specifications.
* After training, set up tooling in presses, including installing, aligning, and adjusting tools for new and repeat jobs.
* Load and unload furnaces, monitor belt speed, temperature, and dew point, and document process parameters as required.
* Operate vibe equipment by loading/unloading parts, inspecting for flash and finish, drying, and applying protective finishes.
* Perform packing and shipping tasks including counting parts, boxing, sealing, labeling, palletizing, and shrink-wrapping pallets.
* Run secondary operations such as turret drills, sizing presses, grinders, and basic assembly/insertion tasks to complete finished parts.
* Maintain a clean, safe work area, perform minor maintenance (including checking and changing lubricants), and operate forklifts as needed.

Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in press setup and operation within a manufacturing or metalworking environment.
* Demonstrated ability to use measurement and precision tools (micrometers, calipers, gauge pins) to verify dimensions and tolerances.
* Experience with material handling and staging, including moving, organizing, and preparing parts for different production stages.
* Ability to read and interpret part prints, including understanding dimensions, tolerances, and common dimensional references (fractional and decimal).
* Capacity to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks over extended shifts.
* Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with equipment operation and routine maintenance procedures.
* Strong commitment to safety, quality, and meeting customer requirements.
* Ability to work independently and effectively within a team, including flexibility for overtime and varying shift start/end times.

Desirable Skills:
* Prior experience with powdered metal production or similar precision manufacturing processes.
* Background in operating furnaces, vibe equipment, grinders, or turret drills.
* Forklift certification or documented forklift operating experience.
* Exposure to continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or 5S practices.

Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED (required).
* Formal vocational or technical training in manufacturing, machining, or industrial technology (preferred).
* Any relevant safety, forklift, or equipment-specific certifications (preferred).
