Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 4:00p-2:00a

About the Role: A Radial Drill Operator is responsible for operating a radial drilling machine to accurately create holes in various materials. The operator must set up the machine, select appropriate tools, and ensure the precision and quality of the drilled holes by working with blueprints and following specific instructions. In this role, you will support production targets by delivering consistent, high-quality work in a fast-paced plant environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate a radial drill to produce precise holes according to job specifications and instructions.
* Set up the machine, including selecting tools, positioning workpieces, and adjusting settings for each job.
* Measure and verify dimensions using a tape measure and other measuring tools to ensure parts meet tolerances.
* Interpret job instructions and basic blueprints to determine drilling locations and requirements.
* Monitor drilling operations, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and accuracy.
* Inspect finished parts for accuracy, surface quality, and adherence to specifications.
* Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures and plant guidelines.
Key Requirements:
* Proficiency in reading and using a tape measure accurately.
* Strong math skills, particularly with decimals and basic calculations.
* Basic understanding of radial drilling operations, with willingness to follow training and instructions.
* Ability to follow written and verbal directions and work to defined standards.
* High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
* Consistent punctuality, reliability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience operating manual radial drills in a production or job shop environment.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
* Capability to use digital calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
* Prior experience in a manufacturing, machining, or metalworking environment preferred.
* Any basic machining or industrial safety training is an advantage.
