Job Title: Inventory Control Manager
Location: TULSA, OK, 74131
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 6:00a-4:00p
Job Description: The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing all inventory operations, ensuring materials, components, and finished goods are accurately tracked, efficiently stored, and readily available to support production and delivery schedules. This role is critical to maintaining operational flow, reducing costs, and supporting high standards of quality and on-time performance in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management & Accuracy
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy resolution
- Develop and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize loss, damage, and obsolescence
- Oversee receiving, stocking, material movement, and warehouse organization
- Ensure all inventory transactions are properly recorded in the ERP system
Process Improvement & Optimization
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and inefficiencies
- Implement best practices for material handling, storage, labeling, and traceability
- Collaborate with production, purchasing, and engineering to improve material flow
- Lead initiatives to improve inventory turns and reduce carrying costs
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise warehouse and inventory staff
- Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback
- Set clear expectations for safety, accuracy, and productivity
- Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Purchasing to ensure timely material replenishment
- Work with Production to support scheduling and material availability
- Coordinate with Quality on nonconforming materials and corrective actions
- Support Finance with inventory reporting and reconciliation
Qualifications
Required:
-5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or materials management
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (heavy equipment, fabrication, or industrial preferred)
- Strong ERP system experience and inventory software proficiency
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
