Job Description

Job Title: Class A Fitter Welder

Location:
Days: Monday-Thursday
Hours: 6:00am-4:30 PM, Friday and Saturday overtime as needed 6:00am - 2:15PM

Products: Waste heat recovery equipment built to ASME Code (firetube/watertube boilers, steam drums, economizers, superheaters, pressure vessels)

Responsibilities & Requirements
- Read, interpret, and understand drawings and welding procedure requirements
- Perform basic and advanced math functions
- Layout, cut, fit, and tack pressure and non-pressure parts (cylinders, nozzles, tubes, tubesheets, headers, structural components)
- Use leveling equipment for orientation accuracy
- Experience in FCAW (Flux Core), SMAW (Stick), and GTAW (Tig) welding; SAW (Submerged Arc) is a plus
- Weld in all positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead)
- Pass X-rays and other non-destructive testing methods
- Work with a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials (carbon, stainless, chrome, nickel alloys)
- Proficient with carbon arc gouge and cutting torch
- Ensure all work meets ASME Code, company, and client requirements
- Perform other shop labor tasks as needed
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting required

TEST(s):
- Welding: 6" Sch 80 6G GTAW Stringer / Hot Pass, SMAW Fill and Cap.
- 3G FCAW 1/2" Plate test
- Fitter Test.
