Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment.
Service rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, heat pumps, package units, air handlers, exhaust systems, and make-up air units.
Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on commercial HVAC equipment.
Troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, airflow, and control system issues.
Inspect and repair compressors, motors, contactors, relays, capacitors, belts, bearings, and electrical components.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and manufacturer service manuals.
Perform refrigerant recovery, leak detection, evacuation, and charging in accordance with EPA regulations.
Complete detailed service reports and communicate repair recommendations with customers.
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory.
Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service.
Follow all OSHA, EPA, and company safety procedures.
Qualifications
3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred.
EPA Universal Certification required.
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and outdoor environments.
Preferred Experience
Experience servicing Trane, Carrier, Lennox, York, Daikin, AAON, Rheem, or Mitsubishi commercial equipment.
Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC controls.
Experience with VFDs, economizers, energy management systems, and ventilation equipment.
NATE Certification is a plus.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
