Absolute. Jobs is currently seeking a highly experienced Mechanic to fill an opening with a Heavy Equipment company located in Ladson, SC. The ideal candidates should have experience working with service and maintenance of all machinery, heavy equipment and vehicles.

Requirements of the Technician:

• Preferably over five years of direct technician experience
• Own your own tools
• Extensive knowledge of heavy construction equipment
• Advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Pass a Background check / drug test / clean drivers license

Responsibilities of the Technician:

• Preventive Maintenance, diagnose, repair, recondition and adjust equipment as required to get equipment ready for customer use.
• Complete all paperwork on the equipment to which the individual is assigned-Participate in all training programs directed by Service Manager
• Bring to the attention of the Service Manager any shop tools, equipment or vehicle that is not in a serviceable condition or unsafe to use
• Communicate all estimated labor times to supervisor in a timely fashion
• Track and follow-up on parts for ongoing jobs
• Maintains tools in good working order per MSHA and OSHA regulations
• Diagnose, repair, refurbish and adjust equipment
• Troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
• Programming experience
• Diagnosing engine problems independently and troubleshooting
• Occasional lifting up to 50lb
