Commercial HVAC Service Technician
We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment while delivering reliable service and customer support.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, heat pumps, package units, air handlers, exhaust systems, and make-up air units.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, airflow, and control system issues.
- Service compressors, motors, contactors, relays, capacitors, belts, bearings, and other electrical/mechanical components.
- Perform refrigerant recovery, leak detection, evacuation, and charging in compliance with EPA regulations.
- Read wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and manufacturer service manuals.
- Complete service reports, communicate repair recommendations, maintain company vehicle/tools, participate in an on-call rotation, and follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
- EPA Universal Certification required.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication, customer service, and independent work skills.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in mechanical rooms, on rooftops, and outdoors.
Preferred
- Experience with Trane, Carrier, Lennox, York, Daikin, AAON, Rheem, Mitsubishi, or similar commercial HVAC equipment.
- Familiarity with BAS, HVAC controls, VFDs, economizers, energy management systems, and ventilation equipment.
- NATE Certification and OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred.
