Duties and Responsibilities
- Support Engineering & Technology (E&T) teams with telematics application integration and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
- Perform validation of remote services for telematics devices using backend systems (Helios) and real-time web interfaces.
- Replicate field (CPI) issues on test benches to support root cause analysis (RCA) and issue resolution.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software configuration issues on HiL platforms such as SCALEXIO, specifically for engine platforms (e.g., C18, C7).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support migration of legacy telematics applications (RAM) to VisionLink platform.
- Simulate and validate communication protocols during testing, including CDL, J1939, and MODBUS, using tools such as MODSIM, CANalyzer, and VBench.
- Develop and execute test scenarios to validate system functionality and ensure alignment with product requirements.
- Document test results, issues, and corrective actions, and communicate findings to engineering and product teams.
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in telematics, embedded systems validation, or automotive/industrial connectivity systems.
- Experience supporting NPI programs and system integration activities.
- Hands-on experience with HiL systems or test bench environments preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in telematics systems, remote services, and connected vehicle technologies.
- Hands-on expertise in system integration, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Experience with communication protocols such as CDL, J1939, and MODBUS.
- Proficiency with tools like CANalyzer, MODSIM, VBench, and similar diagnostic/simulation tools.
- Experience working with HiL platforms (e.g., dSPACE SCALEXIO) and test bench setups.
- Solid understanding of hardware-software interaction and embedded systems debugging.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to replicate and resolve field issues.
- Effective communication skills with ability to collaborate across engineering, digital, and product teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing and validation activities.
