Support cooling system validation activities through hands-on test setup, instrumentation, execution, and troubleshooting.
Coordinate daily with Machine Engineers to understand machine availability and align testing schedules accordingly.
Drive instrumentation setup including thermocouples, pressure transducers, flow meters, and other measurement devices.
Execute validation tests with or without machine operators and ensure accurate data collection.
Collaborate with Cooling Engineers and Machine Validation Engineers to review designs, develop detailed test plans, and prepare for test execution.
Analyze test data, document results, and communicate findings and recommendations to Product Design teams.
Participate in planning and documentation meetings (primarily teleconferences) with cross-functional teams.
Provide support to senior Cooling Engineers by overseeing test setup and execution.
Gradually take ownership of planning and delivering validation projects as technical capability is demonstrated.
Work in both indoor test bays and outdoor environments, with flexibility in schedule driven by test timelines.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with coursework in Thermodynamics and Fluid Dynamics.
5–7 years of relevant experience (internship experience acceptable).
Prior experience in Cooling Test Engineering or similar validation roles is highly preferred.
Strong initiative and ownership mindset.
Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
Solid understanding of thermodynamic systems and heat transfer principles.
Hands-on experience with instrumentation including thermocouples, pressure transducers, flow meters, and related data acquisition systems.
Ability to apply instrumentation effectively for thermal and fluid system testing.
Experience supporting or executing validation test plans.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and thermal systems during test execution.
Comfortable working in physical testing environments (bays and outdoors).
Work closely within a collaborative team structure consisting of approximately 20 engineers and 7 agency workers, including sound and cooling test engineers.
Position requires frequent collaboration and coordination with engineering teams and validation groups.
Work schedule flexibility required based on test program demands.
Lack of foundational knowledge in thermodynamics or fluid dynamics.
No hands-on instrumentation or validation testing experience.
Preference for strictly desk-based or non-physical work environments.
