Provide engineering support for two product families:
High Voltage Components, including electrical connectors, contactors, relays, circuit protection devices, and EV charging plugs and inlets
High Speed Data Components, including high-speed data connectors and cables supporting next-generation Caterpillar machines
Support design, development, and validation activities for electrical and electronic components
Work closely with cross-functional teams including design, validation, manufacturing, and suppliers
Assist with component selection, technical evaluations, and issue resolution
Support testing activities, analyze results, and document findings
Participate in problem-solving efforts related to performance, quality, or integration issues
Maintain engineering documentation and support change management activities
Ensure work aligns with Caterpillar engineering standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics
0 to 3 years of relevant engineering experience
Entry-level candidates and early-career engineers are encouraged to apply
Basic understanding of electrical components and systems
Familiarity with high-voltage electrical systems and/or high-speed data components preferred
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Willingness to learn Caterpillar products, systems, and engineering processes
Attention to detail and a proactive, support-oriented mindset
